Tierra Verde Golf Club in Arlington, TX will host the first annual Chris Kyle Legendary Golf Classic to be held on Monday, November 6 – www.chriskylegolf.com.
Whilst being named after American Sniper, Chris Kyle, the event will be a key fundraising driver for the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation that develops programs focused around military and first responder support and marriages.
The Chris Kyle Legendary Golf Classic will also be positioned to be a major event in the city of Arlington in the years to come.
The event name – the Chris Kyle Legendary Classic – was actually conceived by Kyle’s son and both of his children, along with wife Taya are heavily involved in the organization of the golf tournament.
It is being organized by Constable Clint Burgess – a friend of Chris and Taya Kyle – and this is the first year that it will carry the name of the late Sniper.
The event is also proud to announce – the RJ Carroll Company – as naming rights title sponsor of the event.
“It is going to be an amazing event in the city of Arlington and it gives us the opportunity to honor other Legends and raise money for a great cause that’s based right here in Texas – the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation,” said Constable Burgess.
“The event will extend beyond just honoring Chris Kyle’s memory – each golf hole will carry the name of a “Legend”, a military or first responder – some of those living (and who will be with us on November 6), others that have fallen in the line of duty.
“We’re so thankful to each of our Legends and also to Taya and the kids for allowing us to involve the Foundation and Chris’s name into an incredible event.
“We have some big plans for the future of this event. We want to thank the City of Arlington for all their support and Paul Faulks of 3Di Sign Design for all he has done.”
The event will be rounded out by what will be called ‘The 19th Hole’, with a dinner and concert, hosted by Justin Frazell, headlined by Country Music star, Coffey Anderson, Austin Allsup, Sonny Burgess, Mike Ryan, Matt Wayne, special performance by Josh Weathers along with many more very special guests. This portion of the night will be presented by WR Roofing, Mansfield Custom Homes and the Julie Short Team. The concert stage sponsor is Beards Towing.
“The 19th Hole Concert is a great way to unwind with a night of music and fun.” added Clint Burgess. “We’ve got some of the greatest musicians lined up, especially Coffey who has done several events with the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation before.”
Taya Kyle and her children are excited about the Legendary Classic and hope you can make it.
“It is awesome that Clint has brought Chris’s name into an already established event, but it is going to be so much more than that,” said the Executive Director of the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation. “To honor the other Legends around the course, is something we’re so thrilled about.
“It was close to Chris’s heart to provide support to military and first responders after he finished his time with the SEALs and we’ve continued that with the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation.
“Clint’s concepts are innovative and that we can involve so many incredible people who have served our nation. Now we will continue to honor those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice.”
If you don’t play golf, consider honoring a Military and First Responder Team to play on your behalf for only $500. You can pick the branch of service, agency or department that you want to sponsor.
Four-Man team registrations, sponsorships, tickets for all portions of the events are available at www.ChrisKyleGolf.com.
