Fort Worth, Texas (May 11, 2017) – Chris Kyle Frog Foundation (CKFF) hosted the Second Annual Chris Kyle Birthday Bash presented by Texas Ace Heating & Air on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Billy Bob’s Texas awarding grants to partner organizations UT Austin and Baylor University. The grants fortify the launch of the Foundation’s Master Your Marriage program at each respective university.
The event welcomed hundreds of guests to honor the life of American Sniper Chris Kyle and to raise funds and awareness for the Foundation’s unique mission to support military, veteran, and first responder marriages.
Military and first responder couples attended as part of the Foundation’s Date Night Out program, providing an evening of fun and fellowship to honor their service and sacrifice.
“Events like this help us all remember that when one person serves, the whole family serves. These families have unique challenges and we are bringing them unique solutions,” says Taya Kyle, Chris’s wife and CKFF Executive Director.
“Evil doesn’t stop, the threats against their marriages don’t stop, and neither do we at CKFF. Tonight we renewed our commitment to those who serve us.” she adds.
Premiere event sponsors attended a VIP Reception which included an acoustic performance by Easton Corbin. Hosted by triple Superbowl winning Tight End, Dallas Cowboy Jay Novacek, guests enjoyed stories of Chris and the song “Valor” by Scooter Brown Band’s Scott Brown, combat veteran Tank Machine gave the Pledge of Allegiance , and vocalist Coffey Anderson sang a rendition of star Spangled Banner.
Special Guest Taya Kyle presented the keynote address sharing her inspiring story with the crowd and all enjoyed the insights into her and Chris’s life.
The live auction hosted by Matt Blevins was one of the highlights of the evening as he got the crowd excited to support the CKFF and guests placed silent bids on numerous commemorative items, all supporting the Foundation’s mission and programs.
The evening would not have had a real Texas feel without the live bull riding event that heralded the concert performance by Easton Corbin to over 2000 guests
