Successful veteran-owned business Accu-bore and Veteran Power looked for a way to give back that aligned with their core company values.

“We speak regularly about the importance of family, safety, quality, integrity, humility, and compassion. Concurrent with this effort, we realized that we had an opportunity to establish a community outreach program so that we could give of our time and talents, in addition to providing financial support,” says company President Michael Robirds.

As they explored giving opportunities, they focused on developing a fundraising effort that would engage their employees while creating outreach to their network of suppliers and customers to obtain donations.

They continued to search for an organization they wanted to support until a chance encounter guided their choice.

“After seeing a shirt with the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation logo and doing some research on the organization, I knew we had found a place that we could truly support as it aligned so well with
our core values,” recalls Robirds.

Accu-bore and Veteran Power’s efforts raised an astounding $75,361 with their First Annual Clay Sporting Shoot fundraiser in Morgan Hill, California. Planning is already underway for their Second Annual Clay Sporting Shoot benefiting the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation in April 2018.

“I am proud of the effort of our team to put this together. We had a goal of raising $50,000, and we far exceeded that,” says Robirds.
