Excitement is building around the City of Arlington as the Chris Kyle Legendary Classic approaches on Tuesday, November 6 at Tierra Verde Golf Club, Arlington, TX.

It is the second time the charity golf day will be part of Arlington’s Veterans Day Week Celebrations and while filling quickly, there are still places available for keen golfers or four people teams in the event, which is presented by the R.J. Carroll Company.

The event is a key fundraiser for local Foundation – the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation, which was launched on November 11 in 2014 by Taya Kyle – the wife of the late American Sniper, Chris Kyle.

The mission of the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation is Honor GOD, Country and Families who serve.

It is focused on changing the world for this generation and the next by recognizing and strengthening military and first responder marriages through unique programs and powerful partnerships.

It has served thousands of service families around the country, a fair proportion of that right here in Texas.

Each hole will be linked to a First Responder or Service Member who lost their lives during the course of duty. The Fallen Heroes brings support from a number of local and national companies and really drives home the message of how much strain can be placed on families that serve each and every day.

Golfers take on the 18 holes of the Tierra Verde Golf Club, while also encountering some surprise challenges, all raising money for the Foundation.

“Each time we host one of these events, it allows the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation to connect with more service marriages that are in need of help,” said Taya Kyle – Executive Director and Co-Founder. “The results that we’ve seen from the programs the Foundation sends the couples or spouses to – at no charge to them – has been incredible.

“The week of Veterans Day gives us the opportunity to stop and reflect on those who have served our country and we couldn’t be prouder to have partnered with the families of the 18 Fallen Heroes that will be honored at the Chris Kyle Legendary Classic.

“The event on Tuesday, November 6, instigated by local Constable Clint Burgess, is not only a fundraiser, it provides great reflection on those who have served our country – and we’re proud that we can also include First Responders and Military Service people in the teams to interact with the players – some of who may not understand the rigors of service and the strain that can place on the marriage.

“We’d love for anyone interested to come along on Tuesday, November 6 and be part of the Chris Kyle Legendary Classic.”

A secondary event will also take place on the Tuesday evening at the all new Texas-Live venue (adjacent to AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Park) with a whole host of Country Music stars.
